How many people can the lodge accommodate?
Elesel Lodge has 10 rooms with 2 beds in each. If your group requires individual rooms, the maximum occupancy is 10. If your group is open to sharing, the lodge can accommodate up to 20 guests.
Can I book a single room or stay as an individual?
No — we are a retreats-only lodge, which means bookings are for groups only. We do not offer individual nightly room rentals.
What are the sleeping arrangements like?
We have 10 guest rooms:
• 7 rooms with 2 queen beds each
• 1 room with 2 double beds
• 1 King room with 1 king bed
• 1 bunkhouse with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed
All rooms are clean, cozy, and designed with retreat groups in mind.
What time of year is best to visit Elesel Lodge?
Each season offers a unique experience:

How do I get to the lodge?
We’re located in Idaho — specific directions will be provided upon booking. The closest major airport is Boise (BOI). Guests typically rent a car or coordinate carpools. 4WD vehicles are recommended in winter.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3–6 months in advance, especially for spring and summer dates, which fill up quickly. However, please just check in with us as we may be able to accommodate your group with shorter notice.

What’s included in retreat pricing?
Your base nightly rate includes:
• Exclusive use of the lodge
• Guest rooms and linens

• Use of shared spaces like the speak-easy, dining area, and conference room
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
Yes — most retreats require a 2-night minimum, with some flexibility for offseason weekday bookings.
Can I bring my own retreat facilitator or host my own program?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your own team or run your own workshops and schedules. We’re happy to help coordinate logistics and space usage in advance.
Do you host other types of events like weddings or reunions?
Yes — as long as the group meets our minimum retreat size, we welcome events like family reunions, creative workshops, weddings, and corporate off-sites.
Do you offer meal service?
Yes! We offer Cowboy’s Kitchen catering for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can add this service to your retreat when booking.
Can we bring our own food or cook at the lodge?
Guests do not have access to the main kitchen. However, we’re happy to help coordinate catered meals or the delivery/pick-up of pre-prepared food.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes — we can accommodate most dietary needs (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, etc.) with advance notice. Please share any restrictions during the booking process.
What activities are available at the lodge?
Are pets allowed?
No — we do not allow pets at the lodge.
Is there Wi-Fi or cell service?
Yes — we provide Starlink Wi-Fi in the main lodge. Cell service varies by carrier but is generally reliable.
Is the lodge kid-friendly?
Most retreats are adult-focused, but we do welcome family retreats on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you’re planning a multigenerational gathering.
Is smoking or alcohol allowed?
Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. Alcohol is allowed, but we expect responsible use and no disruptive behavior.
Is the lodge accessible for those with disabilities?
Some areas of the lodge are accessible, but the property includes stairs and uneven ground. Please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility needs — we’ll do our best to accommodate.
